Time leaves no mark on what is born to endure.
“Timeless by Nature” was the vision that guided every choice, every detail, every gesture throughout the just-concluded Milano Design Week 2025.
A collection that took shape across the spaces of Rho Fiera Milano and the Rossana Orlandi Gallery, featuring both new creations and iconic re-editions—pieces that look to the past as a boundless source of inspiration and to innovative finishes designed with the future in mind.
At the Salone del Mobile.Milano, inside a booth entirely clad in Corkcrete—our exclusive ecological mortar made of cork and natural compounds—we celebrated the return of the Axis system, exactly forty years after its debut, and unveiled the new pieces: Nigelle, chair and stool designed by Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman, and the outdoor version of ILletto, the canopy bed designed by Lapo Ciatti.
«Also for this edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, we chose to use the same eco-friendly paneling that has been accompanying our booths for a few years now. We continuously adapt it to reflect our evolution, but starting from the ‘home’ that welcomes us during the most important week of the year feels like the perfect way to reaffirm our commitment to sustainability and recycling» said Lapo Ciatti, CEO and Art Director, on the eve of the event.

“Timeless by Nature” was also the title of the installation selected for RoCollectible, the curated showcase by Rossana Orlandi and her daughter Nicoletta, hosted in the Gallery spaces on Via Bandello 16, Milan. A collective journey that, through the expert eyes of its curators, highlighted the many voices and identities of contemporary design.
«We were truly honored to present ‘Timeless by Nature’ in such a prestigious setting as the Rossana Orlandi Gallery – said Lapo Ciatti –. You can’t help but feel aligned with a space like this, driven by creativity, passion, and relentless research. We share with Rossana Orlandi the desire and determination to explore new solutions, especially when it comes to materials and finishes. For our collection, this was the perfect stage: to celebrate the great return of Axis and showcase the incredible potential of a finish like Corkcrete.»
All pieces on display were finished in a warm beige version of the compound: Axis, designed by Bruno Pozzi and Marco Duina, updated by Lapo Ciatti, shown both as a kitchen and dining table; Mammamia, the iconic chair by Marcello Ziliani; and an exclusive Corkcrete edition of Original Ptolomeo by Bruno Rainaldi, created especially for the occasion.
At the lively Fuorisalone, Zenzero also took center stage—the bar cart designed by Samer Alameen, selected by Artemest for "L’Appartamento", the collective exhibition that for ten years has celebrated the beauty, uniqueness, and creativity of Italian craftsmanship and design.
Within the elegant Palazzo Donizetti, six international interior design studios transformed six rooms into immersive, experimental environments. Zenzero stood out in the entertainment room designed by the acclaimed Studio 1508 London—a contemporary reinterpretation of the 19th-century salon, inspired by prestigious members’ clubs, reimagined as a dynamic and eclectic space designed to foster social connection and creativity.
« It’s been a truly rich program this year – commented Lapo Ciatti –. Rich and ambitious in terms of events, ideas, and content. We wanted to go a step further by presenting fully designed environments instead of individual pieces, so we could better express our vision of design.
A design capable of transcending time—both in terms of durability and style. A “natural” design, bearing witness to our respect for the planet and future generations. That’s why we strengthened our outdoor offering: to reaffirm how essential it is to reconnect with nature, an inexhaustible source of balance and authenticity.
In a historical moment marked by uncertainty and tension, we chose to embrace essentiality—because it is in simplicity that we often find the most authentic and enduring beauty.»
