ADA 2025: Axis System wins in the Outdoor category The sixth award in five years. A recognition that confirms the enduring strength of meaningful design.

Pepe, Berberé, ILtavolo 2.0, Mammamia Raw, Hercle. Over the past five years, six of our products have been recognised at the Archiproducts Design Awards — the prestigious accolade that celebrates international design excellence by rewarding originality, innovation and research, with a clear focus on improving quality of life, now and in the future.

In the 2025 edition, the spotlight is on Axis – the kitchen system originally designed in 1984 by Bruno Pozzi and Marco Duina, and reinterpreted by Lapo Ciatti. Presented at the latest Milano Design Week, the updated version features freestanding modules and a refined choice of materials and finishes that open the project to outdoor use.

It is precisely this flexibility, this ability to adapt to changing ways of living, that convinced the jury — composed of renowned architects, designers and creatives from around the world — to honour Axis in the Outdoor category.

Modular, independent, and built to last, Axis offers a new way of experiencing space.
More than a kitchen, it is a light, thoughtful structure designed to evolve with the needs of contemporary living.

The awards ceremony took place once again at Superstudio in Milan, during an evening that celebrated not only this year’s winners, but also the tenth edition of the ADAA key milestone marking a decade of insightful observation of the design world — its materials, languages and functions — as they shift, anticipate and respond. A gathering that brings together the design community to share ideas, spark connections, and reinforce the cultural and social value of creativity.

« Every award is an honour.  says Lapo Ciatti, CEO and Art Director of Opinion Ciatti, and the mind behind the Axis restyling – Each one marks the completion of a journey, from idea to product, from concept to something that stands out and convinces. But with Axis, there’s an extra layer of emotion. It’s the second major recognition for this system, after the Honourable Mention at the Compasso d’Oro in 1987. Back then, it celebrated the boldness of breaking the mould. Today, it celebrates the visionary strength of a project that, forty years on, feels more relevant than ever.»

« A heartfelt thank you to the jury and to Archiproducts, and congratulations to all the other winners. – Ciatti adds  With Axis, we’re proud to contribute to a vision of design that is, first and foremost, about listening and serving. Because sustainability doesn’t depend solely on materials or finishes — it lies in the ability of a project to endure.»
