Milan Design Week: slow _motion A new presence in the city, between continuity and spatial transversality. New products: Yum and the evolution of the Ptolomeo family.

When everything around feels noisy and confused, Opinion Ciatti chooses a different rhythm. It stays close to what already exists, to the forms that have defined its journey: observing them, refining them, adjusting them. Because it is in listening to silence that the project becomes clearer, that every line begins to matter, that every proportion finds its balance.

A NEW PRESENCE IN THE CITY

At Milano Design Week 2026, this approach takes shape in a tangible shift: for the first time in its history, the Florence-based company moves beyond the boundaries of the Salone del Mobile to settle in the heart of the city, within Archiproducts Milano, Via Tortona 31.

A physical move that reflects a broader evolution: a freer, continuous presence, capable of going beyond the traditional limits of the fair and opening up to a more direct and flexible experience. A place where products can be seen, experienced and touched throughout the year, responding to the needs of professionals and architects with a narrative that extends beyond the closing of Design Week.

In this sense, Archiproducts Milano is not just a new location, but a new way of being present: an active part of a hub dedicated to design and project culture, a partner within a space for connection between visions and realisations.

Here, the choice of the terrace as the main exhibition space is far from incidental. A covered terrace, an outdoor space that feels as intimate as an indoor one, a point of passage and therefore a place of both connection and separation, contamination and communication.

A natural starting point to express an increasingly transversal vision, where, beyond boundaries and labels, inside and outside enter into a seamless dialogue.

A direction that reflects Opinion Ciatti’s desire to inhabit spaces in a fluid and flexible way, offering objects that naturally fit into different contexts and respond to the evolving needs of contemporary living, without losing a recognisable stylistic identity: essential, innovative, and touched by subtle irony.

INSTALLATION AND NEW PRODUCTS

The selected pieces embody this approach, moving naturally between indoor and outdoor.

Axis, the innovative modular kitchen system designed in 1984 by Bruno Pozzi and Marco Duina, re-edited by Lapo Ciatti with enhanced functionality.

The Hercle tables and side tables, also designed by Lapo Ciatti, in the eco-friendly Corkcrete finish.

Mammamia chairs by Marcello Ziliani, whose sled base ensures perfect stability even on uneven outdoor surfaces.

Zenzero, the bar trolley by Samer Alameen, nomadic by nature, expressing its identity through its ability to adapt to different contexts and functions.

Finally, new for 2026, Yum , designed by Lapo Ciatti, expands the Yum Yum seating family with a new backless interpretation. Even more essential and versatile, Yum is a pouf conceived to adapt to a wide range of uses, both indoors and outdoors, thanks to the introduction of dedicated outdoor fabrics.

Opinion Ciatti’s presence extends beyond the terrace into the indoor spaces of the first floor, with the XXX side tables collection and Original Ptolomeo by Bruno Rainaldi, which in Room 6 presents two important updates:

  • a wooden oak base, expanding the iconic bookcase’s ability to integrate into different contexts and interior languages,
  • a magnetic LED kit that, with a simple gesture, extends light to various elements of the collection — Vino, Art and Wall — adding new functions and uses.

In the inner courtyard, ILtavolo 2.0, table by Lapo Ciatti in cocciogrigio finish and the Nigelle chair by Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman complete the installation.

A palette of intense, material tones — from burgundy red to beige, brown and black — ties the composition together, inspired by lava and the imagery of FOCO – Living Notes, the project by Studiopepe that brings together all brands and products within Archiproducts Milano.
